Crazy Cat
Garfield
Garfield came to us when he was about 5 years old. His family reached out to us directly when they were moving and unable to take him with them. He spent some time outside in his former home and was not handled much.

Since his arrival Garfield has been treated for ear mites; brought current on vaccines and rabies; screened and vaccinated for feline leukemia; neutered; and socialized with cats and children. We’ve made extensive progress on handling him since his arrival and we continue to work with him daily.

Garfield is very affectionate and loves to rub and receive scratches and pets. He has a calm demeanor and a delicate voice that he uses often. Garfield will patiently wait for attention following like a shadow, quietly sitting near you, delicately petting you when he’s tired of waiting. Garfield isn’t much for playing with toys or feathers and takes on a more mature approach to life.

Garfield does well with other cats but would do best with other personalities that wont take advantage of his easy nature and bully him. He would do best in a house with no small children and only children old enough to respect and understand how to handle him. He does enjoy the outside so a home that could provide him with a safe outdoor space would keep him from losing his mind and attempting to escape in the spring and summer.
