The Voids

“The Voids” came to us in July 2025 as a family group of varying ages all under 9 months old. They come to us from an overpopulated situation where they had limited though positive interactions with people. They each have a physical deformity from excessive inbreeding but otherwise seem healthy and have not displayed any negative behavior or aggressive tendencies.

They’ve proved to be extremely shy and fearful and we continue to work on bringing them out of hiding and out of their shells. Information on each one will be updated as their personalities unfold. Visitors will not be able to visit with them until they are more comfortable and we have a better handle on their personalities and tendencies.

Each one will be brought current on vaccines and rabies; screened and vaccinated for feline leukemia; spayed or neutered; and socialized prior to being available for adoption.

Adopt

Umiak

The male of the group is between 6 and 9 months old and is incredibly affectionate. He is slightly more bold and curious than his sisters. He enjoys snuggles and scratches and is interested in the activities of the cats in our main room. Movement does startle him but he is improving quickly.

Coolio

The youngest female of the group is between 4 and 6 months old. She is shy but easily handled. She has yet to come out of hiding on her own to receive snuggles and scratches and when released she will slither quickly back into her safe space of a covered cat bed.

Shade

The shyest female of the group is between 6 and 9 months old. She is extremely shy and fearful and we’ve been delicate with her handling. We are seeing progress in that she is no longer running and has moved to a cat bed with her siblings and we are able to give her scratches.

Monkey

The oldest of the group is estimated to be 1 years old. She came to us with 5 newborn kittens. It's our understanding this is at least her 2nd litter of kittens. She shows no aggression and allows us to handle her kittens without interference. She is also extremely shy and fearful but once found we are able to scratch and give her pets.
